the bottom of the hour now. the navy's newest warship won't be named after a historic figure or a president, but one of their own. this is a live picture out of new york of the uss michael murp. the ship is being commissioned in honor of murphy who was navy seal lieutenant, killed during a reconnaissance mission in 2005 in afghanistan. he was leading a four-man team on a mission to find a key taliban leader when murphy's team came under fire. he was the first american awarded the medal of honor posthumously for the afghanistan war. >>> here are some other stories we're watching this morning. an advertising campaign battle of sorts is being waged underground in the subway system of new york city. check out these ads. the message is clear. religious tolerance, unity, and support for the muslim community. this is a part of three separate ad campaigns launched by jewish and christian groups. it is a direct response to this controversial ad that references savages and calls on civilized man to support israel, defeat jihad. >>> next, to colorado where police have issued an amber alert following t

, two navy seals. do you believe there is a coverup going on? >> well, sean, first, let me note my condolences and sympathy for the families of those who lost their lives. and my respect for those who fought so bravely for us. those two former seals that were there on a private assignment. they weren't working for the government in an official capacity at the time that this occurred. i think so much of them. i believe, obviously, that what happened there was a tragic failure. there had been warnings of a possible attack. there were requests on the part of our -- commission there, of our diplomats there, rather, to have additional security forces. they were turned down. and then, following the tragedy, we saw -- well, misleading information coming from the administration. and in fact, the president didn't acknowledge that this was a terrorist act for what? a week or two? i mean, was in a terrorist attack, lives were lost. this happened on 9/11. we expect candor and transparency from the president, from the administration. we didn't get it. >> sean: all right, governor. good to see y

phoenix. today people will get a closer look at these navy vessels, ship tours and other vessels are available from 9:00 this morning until 4:00 in the afternoon. tours are free. it's first come first served and you do have to be at least 8 years old to go on a ship tour. at noon there is another fleet week air show. today we get to see a coast guard rescue demonstration. there's going to be heritage flight, f-18s and a marine corps demonstration. blue angels will perform today but not until this afternoon and remember there's still that america's cup world series race. super sunday fleet races start just before 2:00. you want to get out here early because yesterday there were a lot of crowds krcoming out hereo see the boat and do the tour. >> all right. thank you very much. nice to see no fog there. we saw that yesterday. as if it couldn't get more crowded at the bay, we can help you avoid traffic on this one because you can watch america cup action with us starting at 1:30. lauren scott will have exclusive access to sailors and racing with complete coverage throughout the day.
